So in retrospect, this little detour was completely pointless. But I really liked the idea of seeing Aela's parents in the afterlife and their reaction to her marriage, so in it stayed. It really makes me sad this is the only way we get to see them, though... there's enough Shrek 2-esque material in that dynamic to last me for weeks. Eh, maybe it's for the best.
The song lyrics floating above Xelbosh's head are from "One-Winged Angel" by Nobuo Uematsu. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmlm8d… And the lyric site I originally pulled them from was full of heinous misspellings, which I only noticed after I'd put them in the comic. I think I corrected them all, but if there's still an error in there, blame the random schmoes they allow to post things on the internet without adult supervision.
Lord Hircine makes his first physical appearance in this strip thanks to Hunting Grounds by Kewin568. www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/…? I thought that was neat, and I had no idea it existed until about a week ago. Yay!

If Aela wears her mom's armor, and her mom is in the Hunging Ground wearing her armor, then who is wearing the armor when they're both wearing the armor or is no one wearing the armor really and Hircine is just...where was I going with this? Hircine is a dog? Maybe.
